“ It was our first time and we had an amazing experience! The gentleman hostess was as sweet as can be, our waiter made us feel at home and top tier, he knew the menu line the back of his hand. I got the duck but instead of rice I got mash potatoes and everything was so delicious. My fiance got the steak with crumble blue cheese on top and he was very satisfied with every bite. Our experience was top notch and we can't wait to come back! ”

“ My dad had passed away Sunday, May 18th. Since he was being laid out at the local funeral home in Brighton on Thursday, we wanted to have his dinner after the funeral at a local restaurant. With only 3 days notice it was hard to find a restaurant to accommodate 60 people on such short notice. A few of the restaurants recommended The Canopy. I called Charles on Monday and he didn't bat an eye. He made a stressful time for us very easy. The food was great, and the service was excellent. I received a lot of compliments. Thank you again Charles and Canopy for your hospitality. We appreciate you and your staff. Side note: I was also impressed that other establishments that couldn't accommodate us recommended The Canopy and other restaurants to us. It goes to show that Brighton is a great community. “ Good food, I like the small plates. The cocktail menu was great. Lots of different wines, beers and alcohol to pick from. Small plates were very appealing, we will be back to try more. Chocolate cheesecake was good and I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops- amazing. ”
“ The Canopy Lounge is absolutely top notch! I was in search of a venue to host my daughter’s First Holy Communion party for approx. 30 guests, without breaking the bank. Someone on the Brighton MI Happenings FB page suggested The Canopy so I checked it out. The minute I walked in was impressed by the modern rustic, yet vintage vibe this quaint restaurant has, and I was surprised by how big it actually is inside. Right away, I was greeted by co-owner, Bill Opre who gave me a tour, and showed me the new event space they added to the building a few months ago. It was perfect, so I booked it. Bill connected me with his GM, Charles Duty who took over from there. Charles was wonderful to work with. He went over all of the event package menu options, helped me with my selections, set up and all the final touches. Everything was first class! The food was amazing - we went buffet style with chicken lemon piccata, pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, mostaccioli, steamed broccoli, garden salad and rolls - and all of our guests raved over the food. I love how the event space has a separate area for the buffet that has sliding barn doors that open when food is ready. Our servers - Holly and John were incredible - friendly and personable, attentive and very professional. Most importantly, everyone had a great time and it was a memorable event thank to The Canopy! They are a hidden gem, but not for long. I give them 5 stars, and highly recommend! ”
“ Me and my girlfriend brought our dogs to label yesterday on their leashes and wanted to sit on the patio. They turned us away for service so we went over to the canopy lounge and the waitress was super amazing. She brought a water dish out for our dogs and was really awesome. The service was fabulous ”
